Cork College of Commerce is the largest Further Education college in Ireland with over 5,000 students between Day and Evening courses.
The College has, since its inception had the needs of the students, industry and the community to the fore and through strong collaboration with industry and Higher Education across a range of disciplines has impressive outcomes for all students.
Why choose the College of Commerce?:
Great progression links to Higher Education
Don’t forget there’s more than one way to get into an I.T. or a University and our students have great success in gaining entry. C.A.O. and other Statistics tell us that over 400 of our students gained a place in a Higher Education Institution after completion of one of our courses.
This does not include the numbers that went from our Adult Leaving Cert. course or our Repeat Leaving Cert. course. The links with Institutes of Higher Education are growing and strengthening every year. A year or two in the College of Commerce is a really good start to commencing life in a University or an I.T.
Many of our students tell us that they would not have survived if they had gone straight to University and that the year building skills and knowledge with us is invaluable.
Great courses to gain employment
Our courses are tailored to meet the skills shortages identified by National Agencies and our Industry Liaison Officer keeps our relationship with industry very active.
College of Commerce has a Jobs Register for graduates, a dedicated Jobs Hub to help students gain employment skills and advice during their time with us and a LinkedIn Alumni group. A large number of industry speakers and site visits also run throughout the academic year.
State-of-the-Art Facilities
20 computer rooms upgraded regularly with the latest software, practical rooms for Nursing, Childcare, Beauty, Health and Wellbeing and Make-Up Artistry, college canteen, access to crèche, walk in access to computers for students at all times, assistive technology suite etc.
