Atlantic Coast Lifeguards are Ireland’s only full time lifeguard training school. Our courses are designed and assessed to the highest standards by the relevant governing bodies, leading to internationally recognised qualifications that will allow you to work worldwide as a lifeguard.
We have a variety of courses on offer from the industry led National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ), (which allows you to work in leisure facility’s around the country and worldwide), and the National Vocational Beach Lifeguard Qualification (NVBLQ).
The NVBLQ was developed by several organisations including RNLI & RLSS as the go-to beach lifeguard qualification worldwide. The beach lifeguard is also a pre-requisite for most water based adventure sports such as surfing, coasteering and stand-up paddle boarding.
First aid, life support and AED are now in all our pool and beach lifeguard courses so that you are fully trained for any eventuality.
In Ireland the leisure and adventure industry have boomed and having a professional lifeguard qualification is the stepping stone into a wider industry.
A must-do course
Once in the industry you may see yourself wanting to progress further on your career path, with this in mind we now offer the National Pool Management Qualification (NPMQ) which helps facility managers ensure they are following all health and safety guidelines and regulations in their facility. This is a must-do course for any leisure manager keen to progress their CV but also their centre.
Additional Training Qualifications
Along with this we now train lifeguards/supervisors and management who want to train others in the exciting role of a lifeguard.
They can now progress on and become pool or beach lifeguard trainers.
This allows them to offer public courses but train their own staff to suit the needs of their facility.
All our courses are designed to suit the needs of the industry both now and in the future.
We run them intensively as we understand the need for immediate qualifications and being immersed in the role.

requirements you must pass prior to booking.
