Technological University Dublin, RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences and Trinity College Dublin have launched the Embark Fund, a pilot programme to support the development of early-stage commercialisation projects.
The fund is available to researchers in TU Dublin, TCD and RCSI providing of up to Ä15,000 over four months to support the development of early-stage commercialisation projects.
At this stage, the ideas may be ready to apply for further funding from, for example, the Enterprise Ireland Commercial Feasibility Fund or Commercialisation Fund, or other sources of proof-of-concept funding. On a long-term basis, the Embark Fund to encourage more researchers to engage in commercialisation and spin-out creation and create a shorter path to market.
