THIS September, The Lir, National Academy of Dramatic Arts at Trinity College Dublin, commences a new range of Saturday classes designed for young people aged 12-17 who are looking to take the next step in their actor training journey.
The Lir Youth Academy will run three courses in different disciplines based on age range. Each course will focus on the core elements of acting training delivered at The Lir Academy.
The course will consist of three terms spanning from September to May and run every Saturday from 10am – 12:30pm. Each term is a course in itself, so you can choose to participate in one term or take the learnings from one term into the next.

This course is an introduction to what it means to be an actor. It includes key areas of our full-time course such as voice, movement, improvisation, and text-based work, whilst also concentrating on fun and play.
The primary objective of this course is to find the joy in acting and create assurance in the performer to provide a solid foundation to move on to the next level.
