Each year, National Learning Network (NLN) empowers thousands of people with disabilities and mental health challenges to achieve qualifications, develop resilience skills, progress to further and higher education, and gain employment. What sets us apart is our focus on providing a holistic learning environment, where students can develop a range of skills, and where friendships are forged and their wellbeing can soar.

Dr Rita Day, Director of Learning with National Learning Network said:

“At NLN we specialise in providing tailored support for individuals with mental health issues, autism, social anxiety, learning difficulties, and sensory, intellectual and physical disabilities. We cater for students aged 16 and over, many of whom have left school or college early, unsure of their next steps and who need support to explore their talents and strengths.

NLN offers small class sizes and a person-centred approach, tailored to each student’s pace and needs. We provide access to psychological and advocacy support to help students achieve both personal and learning goals. One of the benefits of NLN is that you can start a course when you’re ready and trial a course before you commit. It’s that flexible approach that can make all the difference to a student deciding what their future holds.”

Wide range of courses available

A wide range of certified training courses including arts, sports, hospitality, business and general employability skills are delivered across 50 NLN locations nationwide. NLN College East is our new campus opened in September 2025 in the heart of Dublin, built to reflect NLN’s values of inclusion, empowerment, and personalised education.

All NLN’s programmes are funded by the local Education and Training Board or the HSE. Visit http://www.nln.ie for more information and to explore our range of courses. You can also contact your local NLN centre at info@nln.ie for personalised guidance and support.
