Griffith College Dublin Launches Griffith Creative 2026

Griffith College Dublin is proud to announce the return of Griffith Creative 2026; it’s an annual celebration of innovation and creativity across the college’s Design, Creative Art & Screen Media, and Computing Faculties. Taking place from 21st May to 11th June, the South Circular Road campus will transform into a vibrant showcase of artistic expression, highlighting the work of this year’s graduating students. A key event in the college calendar, Griffith Creative provides a platform for students to present their work to industry professionals, alumni, and the wider public.

The Design Faculty launch event takes place on 21st May at 6:30pm in the Gather & Gather Café on campus. The evening will officially open the Faculty of Design showcase, featuring a guest address from Kim Mackenzie-Doyle, CEO of The Big Idea, and a student fashion show sponsored by Peroni Nastro Azzurro. Visitors can also explore exhibitions of graduate work across Fashion Design, Graphic Communication Design, and Interior Architecture & Design, with the exhibitions remaining open to the public on campus between 12pm and 6pm daily from 22nd to 28th May.

The Faculty of Creative Arts & Screen Media programme launches on 28th May with a special screening event presented by the final-year Film, TV & Screen Media Production students at the Lighthouse Cinema at 6pm (ticketed event). For those unable to attend the cinema screening, selected works will also be presented as part of the on-campus exhibition programme.

The on-campus Creative Arts & Screen Media exhibition launches on 4th June at 6pm with the Photographic Media showcase, officially opened by Tanya Kiang, Senior Curator at Photo Museum Ireland. The exhibition, which runs from 4th to 11th June, 10am to 6pm daily, presents a broad body of work, varied in genre, style, and intent, with each student bringing a distinct voice, spanning documentary, portraiture, commercial, fine art, and beyond. The exhibition also features work by students from the BA (Hons) in Communications & Media Production alongside students from Griffith College Professional Academy’s Professional Diploma in Creative & Commercial Photography.

The Computing Faculty launch takes place on 4th June at 6pm on campus, featuring a guest address from Dr Waseem Akhtar, Head of Computing Science, alongside further speakers. Visitors will have the opportunity to engage directly with this year’s Computing students and explore projects spanning software development, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, interactive media, and emerging technologies.

Previous years have seen students present work including a VR experience transporting visitors to the college’s history as a 19th-century prison, an AI chatbot exploring the history of Griffith College, and a proof-of-concept 2D video game. We look forward to showcasing more fantastic presentations this year. The exhibition will remain open to the public on 5th June from 11am to late afternoon.
