The sport, fitness and wellbeing sector continues to evolve, creating opportunities across coaching, exercise science, rehabilitation, personal training and holistic health.

For guidance professionals supporting students interested in these growing industries, Dublin College Sallynoggin (SCFE) offers a comprehensive range of QQI programmes that provide clear progression to employment and higher education.
Our programmes combine practical learning, recognised qualifications and industry experience, helping students develop the technical and professional skills employers value.
A Progressive Pathway
Students can begin their journey with our QQI Level 5 programmes:
• Fitness Instruction & Exercise Science
• Physical Education (PE) & Coaching
• Pilates Teacher Training with Sports Rehabilitation
• Yoga Teaching & Holistic Studies (including a BTEI option)
These programmes provide a strong foundation in anatomy and physiology, exercise science, coaching, rehabilitation, movement, wellbeing and practical instruction, while preparing students for employment or progression to advanced study.

Students wishing to specialise further can progress to our Level 6 programmes:
• Personal Training & Sports Rehabilitation
• Personal Training & Strength & Conditioning
These advanced courses include areas such as sports nutrition, sports psychology, programme design, rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, and leadership, preparing graduates for careers across the fitness and leisure industry or progression to degree programmes.
Learning beyond the classroom
Practical experience is central to every programme. Students benefit from industry guest speakers, work placement opportunities, modern gym and studio facilities and links with local sports and leisure providers.
This practical approach enables learners to graduate with both recognised qualifications and real-world experience.
Many programmes are delivered over three or four days each week, offering flexibility for students balancing education with work or other commitments.
Whether a student’s ambition is to become a personal trainer, Pilates or yoga teacher, sports coach, rehabilitation specialist or progress to higher education in sport and exercise science, SCFE provides flexible, career-focused pathways designed to support those goals.
Courses are delivered with certification from QQI, ITEC, and some courses are affiliated with Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) Ireland.
The college is easily accessible by the 45A, 7, 7A and E2 bus routes, is approximately a 20-minute walk from Glenageary DART Station, and has ample free parking with convenient access from the M50 and N11.
