Have no fear – or maybe, plenty of fear!.. 👻🧙‍♀️💀 The Botanic Gardens have a full calendar of events for Halloween this October. Get ready for lots of plant based spookiness , starting with their Harvest Display on Saturday the 22nd of October. This fabulously designed display will showcase not only the diversity of pumpkins, squash and gourds that can be grown in our climate but also kale, beans, corns, crab apples, quince and other seasonal fruit harvested from the gardens.

The Decorated Pumpkin Competition returns in person – you can bring your spook-tacularly decorated offerings for the competition on Saturday the 22nd October between 11am and 4pm. They will be on display in the Teak House until Sunday the 6th October, freshness permitting.

Sunday the 23rd is their big Halloween Day kicking off with the Pumpkin Decorated Competition prize giving! Come in your best Halloween costumes and play puzzles and games with Maths Week Ireland on the lawns. The Witches Garden will be in full swing with Magical Plants where you can discover all about some real life weird and wonderful plants.
